While the East Coast relies on generators for power, one main generator is being recalled for malfunctions, the Champion Power Equipment portable generator can leak fuel from the carburetor, posing a significant fire hazard. There have been 11 reports of the generators leaking the flammable fuel, and eight of those reports claimed that the generator caught on fire as a result.

Two people reported that their property was damaged as a result of the fire. The portable generators have a black frame with black and yellow handles and are considered Model number 41332 generators.

Champion Generator 41532 Recalls

As well, Champion Power wants to recall their Model number 41532 generators. The generators cost approximately $699 and can be returned to their manufacturer or to Costco wholesale for a full refund.

The consumers can also call Champion Power and receive a free repair kit to fix their generators themselves.
